Introduction |
In view of current trends in the advertising industry and the changing economy, new avenues are being forged to achieve advertising goals that cannot be obtained by conventional methods. The launch of JukeAds is based on researched and progressive trends. The main aim is to convey the advertisers message to a captive audience in a relaxed environment. |
How does it work? |
JukeAds is an exciting new concept in South African advertising. 250 Jukeboxes have been placed in various taverns and shabeens across Kwa-Zulu/Natal. They work on the standard coin operation basis whereby a person selects a preferred track from one song list for listening pleasure for a specified amount. The ability of structuring advertisements within the play list is made possible by the technology developed by JukeAds. The play list works off a built-in computer system which allows the tracks to be selected from a regularly updated programme. The beauty of the programme is that it allows you to modify the play list so that an advertisement can be incorporated. The advertisement can be set to play at the end of every song played or at random. If the Jukebox does not get used for longer than a half hour it automatically defaults to an advert. The flexibility of the technology allows the advertiser to vary his message or incorporate a progressive campaign. A fortnightly maintenance schedule insures that all systems are regularly updated and are adjusted to the advertisers specifications. |
JUKE ADS // Introduction - How it works - Demographics |
Dedicated Jukebox |
For increased exposure and brand building an advertiser can have dedicated Jukeboxes assigned. The advertisier has the option of having their logo and advertising message transposed on to the exterior of the Jukebox and have full air time (exclusivity) over a specified period. Decals are made to the advertisiers specifications by Sakhile Communications and placed on assigned Jukeboxes in relevant areas. The cost per dedicated Jukebox is R2000 for the first month which includes make-up and placement. (The monthly tariff takes effect from the second month) |
Promotions |
The JukeAds team, has established a report through its dealings with the various taverns and shabeens, which underlines the benefits of advertisement and relevant marketing ventures within the venues. One has the exciting opportunity to incorporate promotions and marketing venture s in the taverns coinciding with the JukeAds air-time with full support of staff and management concerned. A further option is to play advertisements during a specified time of day, e.g. A preferred spot, this is due to the flexibility of the JukeAds package. |
